What is the EU?
The European Union is a supranational union, located primarily on European mainland. Comprised of 27 member states, the EU connects over 446 million people together, agreeing on common aspects of life that affect everyone, even in the UK. This could be anything from laws to currency agreements, along with free movement around the European Union.
How is EPAS and the EU linked?
European Parliament Ambassador Schools, or EPAS, is a programme designed by European Parliament that aims to educate young people about the EU. This programme covers a wide range of areas, from debating on key issues within the EU to cultural events hosted in USP College - Palmers Campus. Anyone is welcome to join, learning about how the EU affects everyone on a daily basis.
At Palmers Campus, junior ambassadors of the EPAS team will be holding several events revolving around the EU. This will all lead up to Europe Day on May 9th, where many people across Europe join together both online and in-person to celebrate this wonderful union.
